Children simply fall in love with Chloe the bear. Chloe is just like any other 4 going on 5 year old. She likes parties, teddybear Picnics and great big hugs. Lately at kindy though, the other children have been saying she looks "funny" and not wanting to play with her.
Watch the childrens faces go from empathy to smiles and giggles as Julie reassures Chloe the Bear of just how "special" she really is, and together they sing a cute little affirming original song "I'm Special Just Because I'm Me".
This is heart warming puppet magic at it's best.
Lily Crocadilly
Julie and the Bee Happy Puppets are proud to announce the arrival of a beautiful baby crocodile……Lily Crocadilly.
Weighing in at 2840g, Lily Crocadilly was born with a healthy appetite and BAD MANNERS! What she needs is a group of children to help her stop crying, hiccuping and sneezing long enough to teach her to say "Please" and "Thank You".
Lily Crocadilly is a firm favourite. Children find her Lily's cheeky, obnoxious behaviour outrageously funny as Julie becomes increasingly frustrated. Never for a moment do the children suspect that it is themselves who are learning the importance of using good manners.
Gertie the Hen
Gertie the hen has some eggs in her basket! She can't wait to meet her beautiful babies so she chooses 5 children to hold an egg while Julie sings Gertie's very own original song. One by one, during the song the 5 children open their egg to reveal Gertie's brand new chicks!!! All this hatching excitement makes Gertie very hungry so she wanders around looking for juicy wriggling worms (children's fingers) and delivering kisses.
This routine teaches counting, biology, humour, manners and most importantly……
to Brrk like a chicken.
Moshi the Seal
Moshi used to live in the ocean, until one day the most dreadful thing happened……he accidently swallowed a plastic bag and it got stuck in his throat! Thankfully he was rescued and now he travels around with Julie to teach children the importance of being responsible with waste. Moshi asks the children to assist him in barking like a seal and singing his very own song "Put Your Rubbish in the Bin…..Aoar Aoar!!" Older children are amazed by Moshi's incredible ability to read the mind of an audience member with surprising accuracy….whilst blindfolded!
Note: Julie does her best to provide a quality show where the puppets are polite and well behaved but Moshi is loud, boisterous, cheeky, continually demands fish and threatens to make the audience smell his fishy breath! Eeeew…disgusting! Can't imagine why children love him!
Angelina the Scarecrow & Arkie the Crow
Angelina the scarecrow is a perfect introduction to marionette puppets for under 5's. Standing at just over one metre tall, children's eyes are wide as she demonstrates the movements of her body parts. But who's this??? It's Angelina's friend Arkie the Crow! While an audience member operates Arkie, Angelina leads everyone in doing the "Dingle Dangle Scarecrow" song. Always a favourite.
SSSamantha the Ssssnake
She may appear a little ssssscary with her ssssslippery, ssssslimy body, her piercing (crossed) eyes and her darting red tongue, but thissss reptile isss absssolutely harmlessss. Watch children sqirm with pleasure when she comes close….but be warned, when Julie asks Ssssmantha if she likes children, her reply is always…."Delicioussssssssss"!
Fritzel the Dog
Fritzel is an uncontrollable but loveable floppy dog who likes nothing better than to plant sloppy doggy kisses on everyone. Finally, when Julie manages to get him under control, the children help to train him, creating even more doggy mahem.
But what's that?….Oh no…there is a flea in the room!! We'll have to sing the Flea Song……
Fritzel + Children = FUN!
Pedro and Purrcilla
"Pedro's got a girlfriend!" and isn't she beautiful! Pedro and Purrcilla are 2 very simply made marionette puppets, designed to encourage children to fully experience the joy of puppetry. As the felines purr and meow their way through the audience, children are able to touch, pat, cuddle and possibly even
operate
these smooching
moggies themselves.
Honey the Happy Bee
Honey the Happy Bee is a your typical busy buzzy bee except for one thing….she's always happy! Always!! Julie has trouble understanding how anyone can be happy ALL the time, but Honey explains by singing a cute little original song that we can all be happy if we chose to bee. Oh….and keep a close eye on Honey's favourite flower….it changes colour before your eyes! Honey the Happy Bee is just a little bit magic!!
Snurtle the Turtle
Look who Julie found down by the creek!
It’s Snurtle the Turtle!! This loveable little guy is shell packed with personality and just too cute. He does have a cold though...poor little Snurtle...wonder if Julie and the children can teach him to keep those pesky Snurtle Turtle germs to himself! This little routine is designed to educate turtles
and children on ways to
avoid
spreading viruses
to others.
